Printing Guide
How to Print Your Golf Scorecards
Your $39 purchase includes two ready-to-use PDFs. This guide explains what each one is for and exactly what to tell a print shop.
1. Download your two PDF files
After you purchase, your download page gives you two files built from the same scorecard design:
2. Send it to a print shop
Most local print shops and office/copy centers (and online print services) accept a PDF by email or file upload and can print, score, fold, and trim it for you. Attach the Print Shop PDF and let them know the details below, or just copy the message we've written for you.
3. What to request
- Size: 6" x 4" finished/folded, 12" x 4" flat before folding.
- Sides: double-sided (duplex); the file has an exterior page and an interior page.
- Finishing: score (crease) and fold at the vertical center, then trim to size.
- Color: full color, both sides.
4. Choosing paper
We recommend 80 lb uncoated cover stock as the default; it's sturdy enough to hold up in a cart holder for a full round, and uncoated (matte) stock takes pencil marks cleanly. 100 lb uncoated cover stock is a nice premium step up if your print shop carries it, with a slightly stiffer, more substantial feel.
Avoid glossy or coated stock. It looks appealing on a shelf, but a golf pencil skates across a glossy surface instead of leaving a clear mark, not what you want on a scorecard that gets written on all afternoon. Uncoated stock is standard for scorecards for exactly this reason.
5. Ask for a proof first
Before printing your full quantity, ask the print shop for a single proof copy, folded and trimmed, not just a flat printout. It's the easiest way to confirm the fold lines up correctly and the colors look right on their equipment before you commit to the full order.
6. Printing at home instead
If you'd rather print it yourself, use the Home Print PDF. Set your printer to double-sided (duplex) printing with the flip on short edge option, the correct setting for this card's fold direction. The PDF includes a dashed trim outline and a dashed center fold line directly on the page to guide you.
Copy this for your print shop
Fill in your quantity and send this along with the Print Shop PDF.
